Terms and Conditions

Booking and Cancellation Policy;
While sending a journey Booking Form and confirmation of hotel accommodation and Air flight seats, a letter of confirmation will be forwarded from Demazong Travels. Full payment of Air tickets and 50% of journey payment is required within 14 days from the receipt of confirmation letter. The balance of payment is to be received 45 days prior to arrival.
All cancellations must be received by Demazong Travels in writing and are subject to the following cancellation fees:

  • Up to 45 days prior to arrival 20% of total land cost
  • 45-31 days prior to arrival 35% of total land  cost
  • 30-15 days prior to arrival 50% of total  land cost
  • Less than 15 days prior to arrival 100% of total cost
  • Upon commencement of journey early departure or part cancellation is non refundable.

For all the above sectors, domestic airfares will be refundable depending on the type of ticket purchased as some tickets are non refundable tickets. Refundable tickets with a cancellation fee will be charged accordingly.  For flights to Bhutan, a “No Refund” Policy applies.

Obtain Insurance!
We strongly recommended every guest obtain trip cancellation, baggage, and medical insurance at a minimum, although many people also elect to purchase flight insurance. Demazong Travels does not carry insurance to cover you for these contingencies. Check with your insurance agent to determine if your belongings are covered while you are travelling. We can furnish you with the application for policies from a company we have found to be reasonably priced and responsive to claims. You complete the application and mail it directly to the insurance company with your payment. It is easy to obtain. Read the terms of coverage carefully to satisfy yourself that it will protect you from probable personal or professional situation complications.

Baggage Insurance
Baggage insurance will cover your belongings above the minimal amount furnished by the airlines and while on the land portion of the trip. Airline liability for lost luggage is not realistic for valuing lost items and in any case is limited cost. If you do suffer a loss that is insured, be to save all receipts or official reports for reporting your claim to the insurance company. For lost luggage, report non-arrival of your bags immediately to the responsible carrier and obtain a copy of the lost luggage report. Baggage insurance generally does not cover loss or damage to camera equipment.

Medical/Accident Insurance
In the event of illness, accident, emergency medical evacuation either by foot, vehicle, helicopter or otherwise, the responsibility for the payment of such costs lies with the client and should be paid directly.

Demazong Travels will not be liable for consequences of weather conditions, flight cancellations, strikes, wars, riots or any untoward incidents. Any extra costs, such as hotel accommodation / flights, that result will be your responsibility and must be paid for directly at that time.

Once a trip begins and should any one return early due to illness or any personal reason, no refund will be given for unutilized services and hotels. Any additional costs incurred due to deviation from the itinerary by the clients will be paid directly by them.
