Ladakh, a high altitude landscape sandwiched between the Greater Himalayas and the Karakoram Mountain ranges, offers an invigorating and exhilarating experience for the photo-enthusiasts. This adventurous travel photography tour is a fantastic opportunity to explore the highlights of Ladakh, a unique Himalayan mountainous region of India, and to learn travel photography in the company of a professional travel photographer.

 A photographer’s paradise, the scenery is spectacular, with phenomenal mountain ranges and remote villages, culturarist nomadic people, as well as many ancient and beautiful monasteries. From the haunting sound of the monk’s chanting to the aromatic fragrance of juniper smoke, from the fascinating high altitude lakes like Tsomoriri and Pangong lake to two brunt Camel in Nubra valley, from the newly opened  remote Balti  villageTurtuk  as well as dardic village Dha Hanu  to the exotic Zanskar valley, from the ‘moon’ village of Lamayuru  to the traditional Tibetan village of Alchi, this opportunity promises  you a journey to remember for life.

The  tour starts from  Manali, an enjoyable and adventurous journey to Leh through what is considered as among the most exciting drives in the world, between the  spectacular great Himalayas and Zanskar Ranges . We have a whole day to explore it's alpine charm, and its introduction to the natural beauty of Ladakh.

This is also the chance of an optional extension to Agra to see the beautiful Taj Mahal - the most iconic building in India.

More than just a holiday, you will come back from this amazing land with incredible memories, and having learned more about the art of travel photography than you ever thought possible.

Day 01: Manali to Jispa, Lahaul (114 kms, 5-6 hours).
Travel across Rohtang Pass (3978 m / 13127 feet) to reach Keylong at a height of 3350 metres / 11055 feet in Lahaul district. Overnight at Jispa.
(We recommend this stop for proper acclimatization. Some people proceed directly to Sarchu which is a personal choice).

Day 02: Jispa  to Tsokar (175 kms, 7-8hours).
Ahead cross the Darcha bridge and continue drive upto  Baralacha La at 4830 m and reach the windswept Sarchu landscape at 4253 m / 14035 feet.Today to fell top of the world  and enjoy the fantastic view of great Himalaya and Zanskar range.

Day 03:  Tsokar - Tsomoriri
One covers Tso Kar, Korzok monastery and Chumathang and gets to explore Rupshu Valley, nomad Chang-pa camp and the migratory birdlife. Despite its barrenness Rupshu’s hills support a sparse population of wildlife. Tsomiri, at 4595 m / 15165 feet, is the largest High Altitude Lakes to be situated entirely within world. It is 180 square kms in area and about 25 kms / 15 miles long and 7 kms / 4-5 miles wide. Overnight in camp at Tso Moriri-

Day 04: Tsomorori  to Leh (245 kms, 8-9 hours).
Make an early drive to Leh throught spectacular landscape of great Himalaya. And continue changing landscapes. Overnight in Hotel  

Day 05:  Indus Valley monastery tour.
Today you get a flavour of the history and culture of Ladakh. With a visit to Thiksey, Shey, Hemis and  you cover the best known monuments around Leh and its palaces, gompas, monasteries and museums. Overnight in Hotel  Leh.

Day 06: Leh - Pangong Lake -  (98 kms, 4 to 5 hour).
Make an early start and drive east of Nubra via Chang-la Mountain Pass (18,000 ft / 5,475 m) to Nubra (5267m ) 98 kms / 5 hours one way.
The views all around Chang La are simply spectacular. Mesmerizing vistas with the changing hues of the waters of the lovely lake.and explore the nomadic way of life over night camp near Lake.

Day 07: Pangong Lake  to Nubra Valley (120 kms, 6-7 hours).
Exciting experience of diffident passes like Chang La and Wari La, 39 kms from from Chamday village. Overlook K2 mountain ranges and Saser from top of Warila . Here you supposed to be fell the real Himalaya. Drive continue down toward Nubra Valley, you will reach  first village of Tangyar and Agam and continue drive to Diskit along the Shayok River.

Day 08 : Diskit -Turtuk (120 Kms)
Early mornig after breakfast today we drive to Turtuk Valley along the Shayok River.Turtuk is opened for tourist in 2010 .In the way you will see amazing overland escapes and Siachen ranges Afternoon you will arrived in Turtuk and explore central Asian race after lunch  drive  back toHunder/Diskit

Day 09: Nubra Valley to Leh.
After Breakfast drive to Leh via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the world, 18,380 ft). Arrive Leh by afternoon and  Overnight in Hotel.  

Day 10: Leh to Ulleytokpo (75 kms, 3 hours).
Drive west of Leh to Alchi (3300 m / 10000 ft)., Alchi, Ulleytokpo. A different perspective of Leh Ladakh.  Reroute visit Basgo and liker.

Day 11: Ulleytokpo, Alchi to Wakha  (155 kms, 6 hours).
After breakfast, start the breathtaking drive towards Wahka  over the barren terrain via Namik-La (3760m) and Fotu-La Pass (4147m).  Enroute visit the giant Maitreya at Mulbekh, Suru Valley (Mulbekh Chamba is a 9 metre high rock sculpture), the lunar landscapes and Lamayuru  Monastery which is the oldest monastery in Ladakh.

Day 12: Wakha  to Parkhachik (180 Kms).
Early Morning drive to Parkha Chik (Suru Valley ), On the way, you can have magnificent view of Suru Valley and unique culture of Muslim in Kargil Valley. Parkha Chik is one of beautiful himlet in Suru Valley.You camp opposite of  Nun Kun Peak .

Day 13: Parkhachik to Padum.
After Breakfast leave to Padum via Pentsey La over view of Drangdrung Gliacer and continue drive to Padum along the Stod river. Overnight  Hotel

Day 14: Rest in Padum.
Explore Zaskari culture.Today you feel the real exotic culture in Himalaya region.

Day 15: Fullday sightseeing
Today you have seen fantastic old Buddhist monasteries and nunneries in Zaskar region.
Stongdey, Zangla and Karcha

Day 16: Bardern Monastery- Sani-Zungkul
Drive to Bardan along the Lungnak River you will have spectacular view of Zanskar Mountain and drive back to Zungkul via Sani monastery.camp in Zungkul.

Day 17: Zungkul to Rangdum
Drive back to Kargil via same route,and camp at Rangdum.

Day 18: Rangdum to Kargil
Today you will  drive back to Kargil though beautiful Suru valley.

Day 19: Kargil to Srinagar (204 kms, 9 hours).
Travel across  Drass (supposedly the second coldest inhabited place in the world). Visit the The Kargil War memorial at Drass. You can also view the infamous war peaks of Tiger Hill etc. Cross Zoji la Pass (3529 meters / 11645 feet) and then drive through the thickly forested Sonmarg to finally reach Srinagar.
Sightseeing / shikara ride at Srinagar on own arrangement.

Day 20: Check out from Srinagar.
Transfer to airport to board the flight for onward destination, feeling blessed for the stolen moments spent in Ladakh.
